It gives me pause to think that most people are unaware of the finely orchestrated process by which heli skiing food arrives on their plate.
From food menu writing to product sourcing, ordering, transport, and the preparation of your final gourmet meal, a long chain of people have had a hand in the heli skiing food we serve on the hill and at our lodges.
Northern Escape Heli Skiing is located near Terrace, British Columbia, Canada. The snowy winter months do cause us to rely on food products from a wider perimeter here within B.C. We rely on a network of transport to supply exceptional food products to our lodges for our winter ski season.
As of this writing, there are two excellent primary sources for our heli skiing food including:

With these two food supply companies we can insure the diversity of our heli skiing menu. Everything we need for our heli skiing food is sourced from within the perimeter of British Columbia, and in some instances, from pastures and game ranches in neighboring Alberta.
Gordon Foods allows the acquisition of fresh local seafood from B.C. waters designated under the Ocean Wise Program. This program insures the methods by which the fish and shellfish are being harvested are ecologically sustainable.
Advancements in how macro food suppliers (such as Gordon Foods) source food products allow our master chefs to select the freshest heli skiing food products from within our province or nearby regions. There are numerous benefits in shortening the length of the supply chain, from nutritional value and freshness to insuring that regional producers are being supported.
Our international heli skiing guests also greatly appreciate experiencing the freshest local cuisine.
Two Rivers Meats
Two Rivers Meats supplies Northern Escape Heli Skiing with the bulk of our fresh meats, game, and poultry products. As well, the Two Rivers Charcuterie program produces a highly refined and diverse selection of salumeria products used in our Après Ski menus as well as our field lunches and breakfast proteins.
