Company Information: Northern Escape Heli-Skiing is a boutique heli-ski tour operator located in Terrace BC. Our operations have expanded with the completion of our new remote NE Mountain Lodge along with our operation at Yellow Cedar Lodge. Our multi season remote lodge is open for Winter Heli Skiing and Summer operations include a variety of Wilderness Adventures including Heli Fishing, Jet Boating, Mt Biking and Kayaking.
Position: We are looking for a dynamic individual to be our Food and Beverage Manager. The role will consist of both managing people, creating an exciting menu for our guests and providing professional food and beverage service. We are looking for a Chef to fill this role.
The Food and Beverage Manager is directly responsible to ensure our Food Safety Plans are current and adhered to at all times and that our kitchen and bar operations meet and/or exceed all health regulatory requirements. They will ensure required licensing is met and that said licenses are displayed accordingly. They will perform regular compliance checks to ensure licensing obligations are met or exceeded and will prepare for all regulatory inspections and ensure we meet or exceed their requirements.
The Food and Beverage Manager will develop all food menus and assist in developing budgeting in order to ensure food quality is at the highest standards possible. Both the menu and budgets will be approved by the General Manager.
The Food and Beverage Manager will be responsible for the hiring, training, and management of all kitchen and service staff in accordance with the company’s guidelines, policies and procedures. They will provide direct daily supervision and oversight to staff in order to ensure the food preparation and service are provided in a timely, cost-effective manner and that the highest standards possible are maintained. They will perform regular quality checks of all food preparation and service at each lodge to ensure timing, quality and presentation are all meeting the company expectations.
The Food and Beverage Manager will be directly responsible for all food and beverages and associated ordering, delivery and inventory management. They will plan accordingly for storage requirements, order at appropriate times and arrange cost effective deliveries.
Skills: Min 5 years’ experience as a Food and Beverage Manager
Education: High level of formal Kitchen training (red Seal, ETC)
Compensation: Competitive Salary Based On Experience
Schedule: Start Date is September 2020
Offseason: September – December, and April: Office Monday to Friday
On Season: December – April: Mixed schedule determined by General Manager and Food and Beverage Manager
