When it comes to small-group heli-skiing and boarding, it’s not just the size of the group that matters. It’s how many groups are sharing a helicopter. The Mountain Lodge package is our Premium option, with two groups of five guests sharing one helicopter, which means less waiting between laps and a more exclusive, semi-private pace to the day.

Add Unlimited Vertical, our expansive tenure, big-mountain terrain, deep powder, and snowcat backup for storm days, plus the premium lodge experience you’ve dreamed of with all the frills, and you have Northern BC heli-skiing at its most refined. Mountain Lodge can be booked individually, or reserved as a private 10-person lodge buyout, with 3 to 7-day packages available.

NORTHERN ESCAPE MOUNTAIN LODGE

Our new Mountain Lodge is located on a remote alpine lakeshore, nestled deep in the Skeena Mountains. It accommodates 10 guests in 10 separate rooms, each with an ensuite bathroom. We built this Premium option to meet the high standards expected by our international clientele.

This fly-in, fly-out heli-skiing lodge features a top-tier culinary team, an outdoor hot tub, panoramic alpine views, a massage room, and friendly, service-driven staff focused on every detail of your stay. The lodge’s location also supports access to our snowcat backup area when conditions call for it, helping keep your week moving.

The Mountain Lodge package delivers the same world-class skiing, terrain, and certified guides as our Yellow Cedar Lodge package. The key differences are focused on the lodge experience. You arrive by helicopter from a nearby staging area after landing in Terrace, and enjoy a newer, modern chalet-style property with single rooms standard. Yes, you read that right! Unlimited helicopter skiing is included in EVERY package we offer. Unlike other tour operators, you never need to worry about surcharges for extra vertical feet on those perfect powder days when you just can't get enough. Ski and Ride More—minus the extra pressure on your wallet!

Cat Ski Backup

Even though the Mountain Lodge is very nice, you come here for the skiing! So on storm days when we can’t fly our machines safely in the mountains, we transition to snowcat skiing. We’re one of the few heli operators anywhere to have this service. With all-weather access to our Snowcat Skiing Backup area, you’ll maximize your time on the slopes, regardless of how hard it snows. Your Mountain Lodge Package includes a reserved seat in one of our four heated and custom-outfitted snowcats. Our 5,750 acres (24 sq. kilometres) cat skiing terrain features big pillows, steeps and epic tree skiing with runs of up to 600 vertical meters (2000 feet). Plus, when the weather clears and we’re able to fly, we’ll simply transition back to helicopter skiing. With our Cat Skiing backup, you’ll spend more time riding!
