Next, you'll take a short 90-minute flight from Vancouver to Terrace (YXT), in Northern BC. Our friendly staff will greet you at the airport and help with the final step of the journey.
Terrace to Lodge
You're almost here! This is where the "all-inclusive" part of your package kicks in. Depending on which lodge you're staying at, you'll either take a Northern Escape shuttle bus directly to Yellow Cedar Lodge or Skeena Spey Lodge (20 minutes), or the shuttle will take you to a nearby helicopter staging area. Mountain Lodge guests or Private Package guests will arrive by helicopter at their lodges (15-minute flight). Yes, you will feel like a rockstar!

Northern Escape Heli-Skiing is located in Terrace, British Columbia, Canada. We are one of the easiest ski lodges to get to, in the helicopter skiing industry. From the Vancouver International Airport, Terrace is only a one and a half hour direct flight and then the lodges are just a short 20-minute drive. Getting here is so easy!
Most international guests are enjoying dinner at the ski lodge the same day they leave the comforts of their home and getting ready to experience our amazing heli-skiing terrain the very next day. Our ski lodges have a remote feel and setting, yet are located just a few minutes outside the city of Terrace BC, along the banks of the Skeena River.
Arriving at Terrace Regional Airport
Terrace is the business hub of northern British Columbia and the regional airport has recently been upgraded with a modern radar landing system. This helps keep the airport open and the flights on schedule, which ultimately reduces delays and cancelled flights making getting here easy. In comparison with other ski lodges, you will likely save two days of travel time on your Canada heli-skiing trip, as well as extra hotel and associated costs. In this day and age, time is money!
Ski or Board Nearly Every Day of Your Ski Package
When you arrive in Terrace, you are greeted by Northern Escape’s friendly staff and whisked from the airport to the lodge with an easy 20-minute drive or heli ride; just sit back, relax and enjoy the sights of BC, Canada. On the last day of your package, you ski/board a full day, then head back to the lodge to get cleaned up and have dinner before you head to the airport. With the accessibility of Northern Escape Heli-Skiing, you get a full day of skiing/boarding nearly every day of your heli-skiing package! If you've booked a Skeena Spey Semi-Private package, you'll spend your last night at the lodge, enjoying that gourmet cuisine and travel home relaxed the next day.
